GREEN BUILDING
Autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) is well known as an environmentally friendly construction material and manufactured from common and abundant natural raw materials and the finished product is up to twice the volume of the raw materials used, making it extremely resource-efficient and environmentally friendly.
The energy consumed in the production process is only a fraction compared to the production of other materials. The manufacturing process emits no pollutants and creates no by-products or toxic waste products.
AAC is a load-bearing block, which also provides thermal and sound insulation as well as fire protection, thereby eliminating the need for many different layers of materials. The workability of AAC helps to eliminate waste on the jobsite.
The use of AAC can reduce indoor air pollutants. AAC is completely inert and does not emit toxic gases, even when exposed to fire.

1. FOUR (4) HOUR FIRE RESISTANCE RATING
AAC Panels will not ignite and have been in for use as freeway walls in Australia for over 15 years and Europe for over 50 years. With the ever increasing population in the high fire areas in our deserts, the benefits of using these effective fire barriers cannot be understated.
2. HIGH ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE
AAC Panels are available in various sizes and thickness and provide up to a 43 decibel reduction in sound. They are an excellent barrier for areas close to freeways and as privacy walls surrounding homes and businesses.
3. FRIENDLY TO THE ENVIRONMENT
The production of AAC uses less than 25% of raw materials to produce the same amount of standard concrete and contains no toxic gasses. There is practically no waste material for cleanup after installation.
4. DURABILITY
Although AAC is lightweight it is solid and strong and provides long term durability. It is impervious to termites and will not harbor vermin or any other type of pest. They also provide a high resistance to vandalism due to the strength of the material and steel reinforcement. AAC walls have proven to be very durable in extremely high winds withstanding a velocity in excess of 200 mph.
5. EASE OF INSTALLATION
AAC Panels are installed between steel posts and anchored in a standard concrete foundation. Panels can be drilled, routed and shaped to any contour using conventional tools which allows great freedom of design to architects and urban planners.
6. SPEED OF CONSTRUCTION
AAC has been proven to be as cost effective to use as standard concrete, in part due to the greater speed of construction and lower labor costs. Over 23 miles of Sound Wall Barrier have been constructed alongside State Route 51 in Arizona. This project was completed in approximately 8 months. The benefits achieved by lack of maintenance costs are also of prime consideration in choosing AAC over other materials.
